About Us

Why We Exist

Project Regulation was created to support families in practical, meaningful ways that fit real life. Too often, families are handed strategies that feel overwhelming, disconnected, or difficult to implement consistently. We believe support should reduce stress — not add to it. Our work focuses on helping children build regulation, independence, and everyday life skills in ways that feel structured, respectful, and sustainable. We partner closely with caregivers because lasting progress does not happen in isolated sessions. It happens in daily routines, shared environments, and consistent relationships. Our goal is not perfection. It is steady, realistic progress that carries beyond appointments and into everyday life.

At Project Regulation, regulation comes first. Emotional and sensory safety are the foundation for learning, flexibility, and independence. When a child’s nervous system feels supported, skill-building becomes possible. We focus on teaching skills within real routines — transitions, communication, independence, and flexibility — so progress feels functional and sustainable. Ullitmatey, we believe:

  • Behavior is communication.
  • Skills must be taught — not demanded.
  • Structure should provide clarity, not rigidity.
  • Support should empower families, not overwhelm them.

Our approach blends play-based developmental support with evidence-informed behavioral practices, always grounded in respect for the child and collaboration with the family. We use play intentionally — not as filler, but as a powerful tool for teaching regulation, communication, flexibility, and independence. Through structured, responsive interactions, children learn skills in ways that feel natural and engaging rather than pressured or performance-driven. At the same time, we integrate evidence-based behavioral strategies in practical, everyday ways. Skills are broken down into manageable steps, taught with consistency and clarity, and reinforced within real routines so they generalize beyond sessions. We prioritize nervous system safety before expectation. When a child feels regulated and supported, learning becomes more accessible and sustainable. Families are active partners in the process. Strategies are designed to fit daily life — not overwhelm it — and are adjusted collaboratively to ensure they are realistic, respectful, and effective.

Beyond Sessions

Our goal is meaningful progress that carries into home, school, and community settings — not just improvement within structured sessions. Skills should translate into the environments where children actually live, learn, and grow.

Letter From The Founder

stephany

I live this life from both sides.

I sit in IEP meetings. I help families navigate school systems, therapy coordination, progress reports, and the emotional weight that comes with advocating for a child who experiences the world differently. I also bring professional, hands-on experience supporting individuals with autism into every family I work with.

As an Autism Support & Navigation Specialist, my work focuses on helping families understand both the system and the child in front of them — because real support requires both.

Project Regulation was created because families deserve guidance that is practical, compassionate, and rooted in real-world understanding — not just theory.

I support individuals with autism and their families in understanding how the brain and nervous system impact regulation, communication, learning, and daily functioning. From there, we build realistic, sustainable strategies that work in real life — at home, in school, and in the community.

My role is not to fix anyone.
My role is to help individuals with autism and their families understand their brains, strengthen communication, build regulation tools, and move forward with clarity instead of fear.

Because your child does not need to become someone else.
They need the right support to become more of who they already are.
